BANANA labs is co-founded by mother daughter duo, Nuzhat Khatri and Mariyam Khatri. Nuzhat manages part of the operations while Mariyam is the CEO and Creative Director They both massively promote women in leadership and management positions.

About Mariyam
Finding her passion at the intersection point
between fashion, art and crafts; Mariyam is a
fashion thinker. She specialises in textiles,
graduated in textiles and recently completed her masters in Fashion and Sustainability from University of the Arts London (UAL). She was working with Adidas London as their Sustainability Expert. During 2020 she moved back to India from London to continue her family lineal work in handblock printing. She launched BANANA labs soon after, keeping sustainability at the heart of all projects but modernising artisanal craft techniques.

About Nuzhat
Nuzhat is an operations and management specialist. She manages teams and creates systems. She was assisting in looking after the family business before launching BANANA labs and has a wealth off management experience.
